What Is a LadderPort™ Platform?
A platform is a safer and more efficient solution for roof access when obstructions are present near the roofline, for short overhangs, or safety concerns require workers to step onto the roof away from the edge. Platforms can range from as short as 28 inches to any required length, increasing in 10-inch increments.
Designed with the same safety features as the LadderPort ladder receiver, platforms securely hold an extension ladder in place from the ground to the roof. If a parapet is present, a back ladder may also be necessary. Additionally, platforms can be installed over large mid-roof obstacles, where back ladders may be needed on both ends for safe, seamless access.
Benefits of a LadderPort™ Platform
A platform is a safer solution for navigating obstructions at the roof edge or short overhangs. It prevents personnel from slipping on hazardous surfaces, reducing the risk of injury. Integrated side rails provide additional protection, ensuring users remain secure while accessing the roof. The metal grated walk way allows for safer traction, even in inclement weather.
When to Use a Platform
Use a Platform When:
There is a Roof Edge Obstruction
Keep your personnel from sliding down a slippery obstacle.
There is a Short Over Hang
When there is a short overhang and no method for securing a ladder at the roof edge, a Platform is a safer solution.
You Need an OSHA Compliant Solution
The side hand rails meet OSHA requirements and give your personnel a safe walk way.
You Want Your Personnel Away From the Roof Edge
A Platform allows safe access to the roof, where personnel can exit away from the edge.
